Due to Mae Fah Luang University’s policy, all 1st year students have to stay in university dormitory; in order to support student to learn and live together generously.

In order to make preparedness for all new students before living the dormitory, student should inform the information below;

    Remark
    If students take electric appliances which are not allowed in the dormitory, the appliances will be confiscated immediately. However, the appliances will return to students when they go back home or move out of the dormitory. 

  • Mae Fah Luang University Dormitory’s Regulations

    1. Exit and entry
      1. Dormitory is opened at 6 am and closed at 10.30 pm.
      2. The student returning to the dormitory after 10 pm will be booked. If booked 3 times in one semester, the Dormitory Affair Section will notify the student’s parents. 
      3. Upon entering the dormitory, the student must hand in his/her dormitory resident card to the building’s security officer. The student shall have his/her dormitory resident card with him/her at all time.  
    2. Visit to a resident
      1. Visitors can meet a resident only in the area designate by the university.
      2. Non-residents are prohibited from entering the residence area; permission can be obtained on a case-by-case basis.
    3. A resident shall refrain from causing any disturbance; the following is strictly prohibited.
      1. Gambling is not allowed
      2. Alcoholic drinks, intoxicants and addictive substances
      3. Weapons, explosives, combustibles, detonators, firecrackers and any other like object which may cause a fire or danger, or scare other people
      4. Animals
      5. Making loud noises or doing anything that disturbs other people.
    4. Electrical appliance other than those allowed by the dormitory are strictly prohibited, for example, a TV set, electric pan, refrigerator, microwave oven or toaster.
    5. Electrical appliances permitted in a dormitory room include a fan, iron, hair-roller, hair dryer, PC, radio and electric rice cooker. For items other than these, the student must consult the dormitory ruler. If a prohibited item is found, the dormitory ruler will keep it and return to students on the end of semester. 
    6. The student is strictly forbidden to take any centrally provide facilities for personal use
    7. The student is strictly forbidden to cook in the dormitory room
    8. The student is strictly forbidden to remove, modify, extend or move any items in the dormitory room or building
    9. The student is strictly forbidden to wear shoes in the resident area
    10. If the student needs to stay overnight elsewhere, such as for a home visit or a university’s activity, the student must complete and submit a request form to the Dormitory Office and must return to the dormitory no later than the date or time indicate
    11. The student is strictly forbidden to have a party or entertainment activity without permission from the university or dormitory ruler
    12. If student violates the dormitory regulations, he/she is subject to a penalty as stipulated in Mae Fah Luang University Regulations on Student Discipline, BE 2542 AD 1998

  • Mae Fah Luang University Dormitory’s Consequential Facts

    1. Consultant and coordinate with dormitory officer
      1. 1.1 In workdays, student can contact the dormitory ruler for 24 hours at the dormitory of the student. For more choice student can call to the staff by the attached phone number on board in front of the dormitory.

    2. Ill student
      1. Student can take the medicine from the dormitory ruler at the student’s dormitory.
      2. For emergency case, student can make a request to go to hospital by contacting dormitory ruler or shift officer at 2 offices abovementioned or by cell phone.
    3. Electricity charge calculation 
      1. The officer would note electricity unit in the end of every month    
      2. The officer would calculated electricity charge by divide from amount of the occupants per one room; 5 baht per one unit 
      3. The expense would show on student registration page. 
      4. Student shall pay the electricity charge on 15th -25th of every month
    4. Room/Dormitory transferring
      1. Complete room/dormitory transferring form
      2. Submit to dormitory ruler for consideration
      3. Only the Student who has the permission from dormitory ruler can move a room. 
    5. Dormitory’s equipment repairing   
      1. Room’s equipment is ruined by deterioration; university would fix the equipment without charge
      2. If room’s equipment is ruined by action of student. Student will be charge the damage of material
      3. Student shall take care of room/ dormitory property; if the damage is found, notify dormitory ruler to carry out repairing.
    6. Resigning
      1. Complete dormitory resigning form.
      2. Submit to dormitory ruler.
      3. Student shall return dormitory ID card and room key to dormitory ruler; if student lost a key, it will be 50 baht charge
      4. Student has to clean the room. If the room is not clean, student has to pay the cleaning charge for 200 baht/person
